IT projects have a history over many years of being late, incomplete and over budget. Research carried out between 1994 and 2004 by the Standish Group suggests that IT project success (on-time, on-budget) rates have more than doubled in that period but that even now they are only 34%. While this improvement is good news, it still means that twice as many projects fail to meet these basic criteria as succeed.

The reasons for this are many and complex, but one thing which does correlate with a higher chance of success is the involvement of skilled and experienced people in the planning and execution of the project. EIT Consulting has experience of projects which covers :
